Located along the Loop Trail in Harvard.
Canoeing, kayaking and fishing are allowed on the Nashua River and are enjoyed by many. However, swimming is not permitted within the refuge. A canoe launch is located just before the entrance to the main parking lot in Harvard, and at the Bill Ashe facility on 80 Hospital Road in Devens.
A refuge permit is required. For more information, contact the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
Dress appropriately: (think of ticks, black flies, mosquitoes, poison ivy) long, light-colored pants with cuffs tucked into your socks, sneakers or hiking boots, a long-sleeved shirt
